From Johnathon on Thomas Dunker’s Writing

by on Jan.12, 2014, under General

Johnathan D says: “. . . Truant Thoughts is nothing short of fantastic, I hope more of his writings will become available in the future.”

Regarding Horseshit Magazine, addressed to Robert Dunker, he said:

As an owner of all four issues of Horseshit! for a few years now, I would like to thank you for your work. Your brother’s writing inspired me to take up the pen myself. Having Multiple Sclerosis and being in my late 20’s has given me a very different view of the world from what I once had, and you both showed me that my way of thinking wasn’t reserved to my brain only.

Thank you,

Johnathon

Thank you for taking the time, Johnathon. –RMD

Truant Thoughts

by on Feb.24, 2010, under Truant Thoughts

One of the first readers of this book said it is “thought-provoking.” If you are one of the humans capable of thought, this might be the book for you—or maybe it will just provoke you.

Buy it and find out.

Stay at home and read, this book is a lot cheaper than a traffic ticket.

From The Dustjacket

by on Jan.27, 2010, under Truant Thoughts

From the dustjacket of Truant Thoughts:

This is not an ordinary book and will probably not suit an ordinary reader. The author was a quadriplegic and confined to a wheel chair for the last forty-five years of his life. He wrote every day he could and because of his injuries he saw life differently than uninjured men who could walk, use their hands, and control their body functions.

A great mind, an incisive mind, part of a normal body, suddenly transformed from normal active body status into a vegetable can either wither . . . or expand into unusual and different mental vistas. Tom’s mind expanded beyond the ordinary for even similar sufferers. His mind bypassed youthful training and social restrictions and he recorded his insights, some of which are in this the first book of his lifetimes accumulation. His humor and cynicism combined to give all readers insights and knowledge far beyond the norm.

It is unlikely that you have ever read anything like this.

And it is unlikely that you will like it at first.
But I defy you to claim it all isn’t true—after you have gotten over the shock.
